About this Class
This workshop will take place in the beautiful Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains near Mammoth Lakes, CA. We will be camping at a natural hot spring that you are free to enjoy between instruction periods. Camping is not mandatory, but due to the Astrophotography portion of the class, it is the best option. You are free to book your own accommodation in nearby Mammoth Lakes if desired. Please bring any camping gear or food that you would like to use.
During instruction and the photoshoot portions of the class, your instructor will have stations set up with Godox strobes, light stands, diffusers, etc. that you are able to use. A professional model will be at each of these stations for your to photograph. For this class, you only need a camera, lens, and Godox/flashpoint compatible trigger.
The workshop will start with a classroom style instruction at camp to go over all of the basics and necessary information for using Off-Camera Flash. After the classroom instruction, we will have a recess for dinner, and then go into hands on instruction for golden hour and sunset. you will be able to photograph the models using the equipment at each station and your instructor will offer real time advice and troubleshooting to get your images looking perfect!
After sunset, we will begin classroom style instruction for astrophotography (roughly 45 minutes) and then head into hands on instruction again for astrophotography and Astro-Portraits!
Instruction will begin again in the morning for golden hour with each model station set up again. After golden hour, there will be free time to photograph the models. go over 1 on 1 Q&A and enjoy the hot spring or surrounding areas before we conclude the workshop!
There are two ticket options:
Workshop ticket WITH a Godox trigger. This includes your ticket and a trigger that you get to keep that will work with any of the strobes during the workshop
